Purchasing a Belle Vista puppy
#1. REVIEW THE WEBSITE
This site has been a work in progress for over a decade. Everything that is on it is something that I feel people need to know and will answer most everyone's questions about the dogs, the program, and my process.
#3. PHONE "INTERVIEW"
I will schedule an appointment to call you on a certain day and time. This is for you as much, or more, as it is for me. I want you to be comfortable with me, knowing that you can reach out and discuss things with me, and I want to know that you are truly prepared for this responsibility. If you talk with me and don't feel comfortable, than you should keep looking for a breeder that you "click" with. This isn't "just a transaction". You are joining the Belle Vista family and will be taking on the lifelong responsibility for one of my puppies that I planned for and brought into this world. My goal is to make great matches so that everyone, especially the puppy, is happy with the placement and well loved for their lifetime.
#4. PAY WAITLIST/COMMITMENT FEE
If we are both happy with our phone interview and agree to move forward, it is now time to pay the partially refundable Commitment Fee of $250 that goes towards the purchase price of the puppy. This will add you to the waitlist according to the date it is received. The fee must be accompanied by the form below. If I have a current puppy spot available, the Commitment fee and the Deposit (total of $500) will both be due to reserve the spot.
#5. JOIN THE PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP
Comprised of other Belle Vista Schnauzer owners.
We share, ask and offer advice, host a monthly contest, some families set up play dates, and much more! I love that it helps me stay up to date with my puppies.

You have to request to join and answer the questions!
#6. RECOMENDED PRODUCTS
While waiting to be offered a puppy, feel free to check out products Belle Vista recommends as well as all of the educational information posted here on the website. Most of the products can be found on Amazon. I have an affiliate account with Amazon and get credit for items you purchase via my links.
#7. WAIT FOR YOUR TURN
The hardest part! If you are very particular about your color or gender preferences than it will probably take longer. However, sometimes it is meant to be and I get to people sooner than anyone ever expected. You can keep track of planned litters and puppies here on the site or through the private Facebook group. Future plans are always posted here but the private group does get more posts and action than the website so it a bit more up to date on current information.
#8. ALMOST THERE!
Once a litter is born that might have a puppy for you, I will reach out when they are about 2 weeks old to see if you are interested. When I am ready to lock people in to their litter and spot, an additional non-refundable $250 deposit is due along with the Deposit form below.
#9. SCHEDULE PICK UP DATE/TIME
Once puppies have had their first vet check at 6 weeks of age, I will reach out to schedule your pickup date and time. I typically schedule for a weekend because I know that is convenient for most people. If you are unable to pick up during the weekend that they are ready, you will automatically be bumped to last spot for your color/gender combo so that I can let all the other families take their pup home on time. In most cases, families have had several weeks notice about their puppy and the planned pickup weekend so I will not hold everyone else up because someone didn't clear their weekend for the new puppy.
#10. PAY FOR YOUR PUPPY

I will email the week before pick up day with your final total owed. The amount is affected by any repeat customer discounts, prior dog titles earned, deduction of waitlist and deposit fees, etc. If you need to know the amount and don't see the email, feel free to reach out.

I only accept the following payment types on pick up day:
Credit/debit/bank transfer through Gooddog.com (link below)
Cash (preferably in large bills)
Checks, money orders, Zelle, and PayPal will not be accepted and coming unprepared could cause you to be bumped to another litter.

#11. PLEASE STAY IN TOUCH
Whether it's an annual Christmas card, a short email or text every now and then, or participating in the Facebook group, please keep me updated on how your Belle Vista Schnauzer is doing. I will occasionally ask you to fill out a short survey about the health of your dog and this helps me make future breeding decisions. I love to know that all is well. The old adage of "no news is good news" isn't always accurate and I'd rather know for sure.
